As the Mississippi River's water line descends during the winter months, the natural river bed becomes exposed along the man made levee. While few people explore this space during the short window, this installation aims to directly signal and pave the way to the river's edge. A path was cleared to allow easy access to the a love seat, fit for two people to stop and reconnect with the water's edge. Using materials found in the area, including rocks, driftwood, and even trash, the River Love Seat builds an experience to allow visitors a chance to easily descend and reconnect with the water's edge. A 7 foot marker was used to attract and notify new visitors of the location.
